Purpose: This study examined the effects of job engagement, emotional labor, self-efficacy for counseling skills, and social interest on the person-centered nursing of clinical psychiatric nurses. Methods: This descriptive study included 194 clinical psychiatric nurses from 11 psychiatric institutions who had worked for at least one year. Data were collected from January 20 to March 16, 2025, using structured questionnaires. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent-samples t-tests, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple stepwise regression analysis. Results: The factor with the greatest influence on person-centered nursing was social interest (β=.48, p<.001), followed by self-efficacy for counseling skills (β=.31, p<.001), 5-15 years of clinical psychiatric nursing experience (β=-.12, p=.020), and holding a head nurse position (β=.12, p=.024). The regression model was statistically significant (F=55.43, p<.001), and these four variables explained 53% of the variance in person-centered nursing. Conclusion: To enhance the person-centered nursing of clinical psychiatric nurses, it is necessary to develop and implement educational and intervention programs aimed at strengthening their social interest and self-efficacy for counseling skills. Furthermore, tailored educational strategies and organizational support systems that reflect nurses' clinical career stages and job positions should be established to further promote person-centered nursing.
